Penang Bridge - Malaysia

My postcard collection of Penang Bridge. It is 13.5km long and connects Penang island to Peninsular Malaysia. It is the longest bridge in Malaysia and fourth longest in Southeast Asia and was completed in 1985. It is a dual carriage and has been widened from 2 lanes to 3 lanes for each side. Toll fee is RM7 from the mainland to the island and no toll coming the other side. Before this bridge was built, the only way to get to Penang island, besides by air, is to use the ferry. A second bridge is being built and a future tunnel is being considered. Enjoy viewing.
