California - Cabrillo National Monument

In 1542, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo stepped into history as the first European to set foot on what is now the West Coast of the United States. In addition to telling the story of 16th century exploration, the park is home to a wealth of cultural and natural resources. Nice stamps used. Thanks to Erin of USA.

Arizona - Wupatki National Monument

Less than 800 years ago, Wupatki Pueblo was the largest pueblo around. It flourished for a time as a meeting place of different cultures. Yet this was one of the warmest and driest places on the Colorado Plateau, offering little obvious food, water, or comfort. Thanks to Debbie of USA.

Nebraska - Scotts Bluff National Monument

Towering eight hundred feet above the North Platte River, Scotts Bluff has been a natural landmark for many peoples, and it served as the path marker for those on the Oregon, California, Mormon, and Pony Express Trails. Scotts Bluff National Monument preserves 3,000 acres of unusual land formations which rise over the otherwise flat prairieland below. It is named after fur trader Hiram Scott and honor the memory of emigrants of Oregon, California and Mormon Trails. Thanks to Danielle of USA.
